We are a 3 campus 2800 member Church and we launched a chapel service late last year. I happened to the Campus Pastor at the Chapel and am looking for good models of churches who do a "blended service" in a successful manner. Definition of Successful is growing. Our Mission is to lead people in a personal and growing relationship with Jesus and so we use the metrics of attendance, salvations, baptisms, small group participation and serving on teams. We tend to have have less Growth at the Chapel than the other campuses and we often discuss is it is due to the fact we have a blended service.
Our service flow looks like this typically.
Song 1 - Usually contemporary song
Song 2 - Usually contemporary song
Song 3 - Usually hymn or older style song
Ministry moment - (Declaration, apostles creed or Communion depending on the week.)
Meet and Greet - (shakes hands before you have a seat.)
News Video - About what happening in the life of the church
Message - Usually live but once every 4-5 weeks we show a video of lead pastor
Reprise - Short Chorus and dismiss.
The structure is identical to our other campuses and churches like Church of the Highlands but the Chapel seems to be maintaining little traction. I would love to find a larger thriving church that is using similar models of Blending old school and new school worship etc and talk to the pastor there. Can anyone point me in the direction of a Church like this?
