At the end of March we'll start a series here at Life.Church called This Is What We Do. This series will cast a whole new light on what it means for Christians to give and be generous, and we are so excited for how it will impact our church and yours.
We're going to do something a little unconventional in this series, and we want to equip you ahead of time to join in on the experience!
Your next steps...
1: Watch the video.
Watch "Special opportunity for in step churches" on the Message Support training page, and learn more about how your church can leverage this series.
Watch the second video on our Message Support page, and learn more about how your church can leverage this series.
2: Make it your own.
This Is What We Do is a three-week series that begins March 25, and week two on April 1 and 2 will be taught by Oklahoma City Campus Pastor Chris Beall. During the message, he'll ask Life.Church attenders to be part of a special project where everyone gives one dollar.
He'll also address our Open Network churches during this portion, and set up you as a pastor to do your own special giving project. We want this interactive portion of the message to feel really natural at your church, too, so he'll use language that fits for your attenders.
At Life.Church, we're going to ask attenders to give one dollar—then, in week 3, Pastor Craig will look back at how God used that money to change lives.
In your church, this is a great opportunity to make this experience your own. Maybe you want to ask people to donate things, or participate in a whole-church serving day. Maybe your attenders will give and pay bills for an entire family.
However it looks in your church, this is a time to lean in to the message and learn together that God wants us to give because it's best for us—not because He wants something from us.
3: Join the conversation.
If you have questions or ideas about leveraging this new opportunity in your church, join in the conversation here!
4: Watch Church Online.
You'll get the messages video as you normally would in Dropbox, but if you tune in to Life.Church Online on April 1 at 5:30pm CST, you'll be able to catch the message a little earlier and watch exactly how Pastor Chris talks through the idea.
