I've been over our Online Campus for the past 8 months. Since then our previous CDN quit supporting mobile playback and we never heard anything from their support team so we made a switch. One of the factors that led us to make a change was that we were regularly having attendees in our chat complain that their feed wasn't working, couldn't be enabled, wouldn't load, etc. Obviously that's a major deal. I had assumed (I still think part of it was this) that it was our CDN so we switched.
We have been testing out Churchstreaming.tv the past month. We've had issues with them as well but those are a little different, involving their stream box. We're talking with Haivision now and moving to a hardware solution with them, regardless of where we go for our CDN.
Here's my question, though. Today, we still had a number of people complain that the stream wasn't loading, or that their browsers had a problem with the video. I haven't jumped in on mobile vs. desktop with any of them yet but it seems the majority of them are Safari users (anecdotally at least).
Those of you that do a live stream, do you have people regularly having issues? It seams at least for now that it's something along the lines of, "We can't help how their settings are configured so there will always be those that need help logging in at first." BUT, if we're the only ones who have issues like this, I need to figure out what's going on.
