Curious how other churches approach this. Naturally, the "span of care" for an online campus/church online ministry is going to be more diversified than a physical location.
So when it comes to volunteers, we're pulling from communities and circles where we may not be able to sit down and meet everyone.
Of the 100+ student ministry volunteers in my student ministry role, our team sits down with each one, interviews them, does background checks, etc. With Online Campus (especially hosting chat and services) I don't think the bar needs to be THAT high. So i'm curious what other churches and pastors are doing.
Right now, I have some training stuff I do with them to show them the why and the in's and outs' of the platform itself, but we don't have too many "hoops to jump through" for our chat hosts. what do y'all do?
