It’s the year 2055. Earth, after a time of turmoil, is at peace. But peace has come at a price. A tyrant known as The Governor and The New World Army leads a police state. There is no freedom, no religion, and no courage. Fear grips the world.
No one is allowed to speak their mind. No one is allowed to think. This is the new world. But one man is in search for an answer, for someone who is not afraid, for courage.
In the first week of Witness, we learn the story of David and Goliath. David stood up to his giant Goliath and won! Sometimes we will face “giants,” but God will give us the courage to defeat them and overcome.
The second week focuses on the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They don’t bow down and worship the king when everyone else does. Because of that, they get thrown into the fiery furnace. But God keeps them safe. God will give you the courage to stand up for your faith even when it seems like you’re the only one.
In week three, we look at the story of Moses. God calls Moses to do something that he doesn’t want to do because he feels insecure. But God uses Moses to perform miracles. God will give us the courage to do great things even when we doubt ourselves.
The fourth and final week of Witness is the story of Jesus. Jesus sacrificed Himself and died on the cross for the good of the world that He loved so much. God will give us the courage to give up things we love for things we love even more.
