MESSAGE OVERVIEW: The Bash is very special night of Switch, dedicated to our
partnership with Stay Here, a non-profit organization with a vision to see every generation be
suicide free. How? By training 10,000 churches, 10,000 schools, and 1,000,000 individuals in --
effective, comprehensive, and Christ-centered suicide prevention. This matters to God and is
right at the core of the Gospel. This year, the Bash is happening on World Suicide Prevention
Day. That means people will be looking for hope if they are hurting, or a plan of action if they
want to help. And that’s what we will be providing to them by unapologetically preaching the
good news of Jesus and teaching practical ways our students can make a difference in this cause.
MAIN IDEA: Suicide is preventable. Hope is available. Redemption is possible. So, choose
to stay here.
ANCHOR TEXT: 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The
sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let
nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that
your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:55-58 NIV
