What we've learned:

In ministry, we always want to see God move in a big way, and it's sometimes easy to try to push that big move of God with our own power. In the early years of Church Online, we were so excited that this tool would allow us to reach people all over the world that we got ahead of God. We tried to ramrod size and scope and breadth without laying a deep, solid foundation. We've learned that we need to invest in our volunteers, create lasting relationships with attendees, and cultivate small groups in order to see stable growth in our Church Online ministry.
