What we've learned:

At Life.Church, we often say "follow momentum." For our Church Online ministry, that means we build community where we already have community. We invested in our leaders and volunteers and engaged attendees—the result was an uptick in community involvement and small group creation. So, we learned that rather than trying to drum up interest in small groups where there was no interest, simply creating opportunities and offering resources to those who were already in community through Church Online sparked growth in our online small groups. When you see something in your ministry gaining traction, follow momentum, and invest time and energy there.
